Beacon Hill was 4/34 in their first grade match against Wakehurst at St Matthews on Saturday, when the pair in the middle received the call – hurry up, rain is coming.
It was the only goading Ben Hastings and Aarka ‘Sunny’ Saha needed.
In a 42-ball frenzy the pair belted an unbeaten 64-run partnership to guide their team to six wicket bonus point win in the 12th over of the 35-over match.

Hastings smashed 36 off 27 balls including two sixes while Saha belted 29 off 20, also with two sixes.
On a cold, overcast day with occasional rain, the outfield was wet but quick.
The match was setup for Beacon Hill by a brilliant opening spell from Matt Morley who took 4/17 off 7 overs to leave Wakehurst reeling at 7/50.
Damandeep R Singh took 2/20 while 17-year-old debutant Matt Kuchel was impressive taking 1/15.

Wakehurst were out for 98 in the 25th over, with S.Undries making 10.
Wakehurst had a spring in their step when Singh (10), Teji Singh (4), and Alastair A Fitzpatrick (9) were out with 34 on the board.
