St Ives resumed at 1 for 7 chasing Lindfield’s 6 declared for 258 were in immediate trouble with Jonty Snyman bowling the first over and taking 2 quick wickets.
Cam Thompson followed up with a wicket in his next over and another wicket from Jonty Snyman saw StIves struggling at 5/16.
The change bowlers then followed up with some aggressive bowling as Lindfield went all out for the remaining wickets and a chance to get a much needed outright victory.
A nasty injury saw a retired hurt and the innings was finished off by Zolly Conlon taking 1/2.
Lindfield asked St Ives to follow and they had 21 overs to gain an outright victory.
Jonty Snyman and Cam Thompson opened the bowling and each took two early wickets and a caught and bowled by Nicholas Audet had St Ives in trouble again at 5 for 20 with 10 overs remaining.
Some great rear-guard batting by St Ives helped then survive the day and finish at 5 for 99 and Lindfield won on first innings.
Lindfield Wade are in 3rd position on the table going into the Christmas break.
