What is your nickname?

What was your most memorable moment in junior cricket?
Winning the U15 State Development Carnival in Bundaberg for Brisbane North.
Tell us briefly about your cricketing journey? Where you’ve played, clubs you’ve played and greatest cricketing achievement.
My cricketing journey started for the Albany Creek Hawks Junior cricket club when I was 7 years old. I played for them for a further 10 years until U16s when I moved to QLD Premier Grade Club Sandgate/Redcliffe DCC to play Lord Taverners U18s. Since then I’ve played grade cricket for Sandgate/ Redcliffe playing from 6th grade upto 2nd grade.
Whilst also representing my school St Paul’s School playing from year 8 through to First XI including a memorable month-long tour to England in 2012.
Greatest cricketing achievement would be winning the 2016/2017 3rd grade premiership. Great team and even greater grand final victory.
What is your pre match routine?
Not to much really, but I have to wear the same undies every match, don’t ask me why.
Also wear the compression sleeve on my right arm.
How do you amuse yourself on a plane flight?
Stick to movies and music mainly unless it’s for end of season trip to Cairns, then it’s beers.
Which singer/band would you like to see perform live?
Keith Urban.
What’s the one thing about you most people don’t know about?
I’m a bit of a clean freak.
Who has been your funniest team mate?
Callum Smith just because we can quote Will Ferrell all day and nobody understands it. Sam Lowry a close second.
Who has been your most annoying team mate?
I’d say myself hence the nickname termite for being a pest 😂 otherwise Tyron Brown.
Who was your childhood hero?
Weirdly enough Shaun Berrigan - Broncos great.
Who was your favourite all-time cricketer?
Tough call there’s been so many great players over the years but Shiv Chanderpaul I always admired. As for Australians definitely Ricky Pointing.
Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?
Jack Prestwidge without a doubt.
Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?
Aidan Worth’s dangerous net Leg Spin.
Who was the best batsman you played against?
Matthew Renshaw
Who are the next two batsman to make their debut for the Queensland Bulls in Shield cricket?
Jack Clayton and Corey Hunter
What’s the best innings you’ve seen played in any game you’ve played throughout your playing days? If you could add a few words as to why it was the best
The best innings I’ve ever seen to this day was by Adrian Lascu in a 3rd Grade Grand Final. Not only did he take 4 second innings wickets he came in with us at 3/30 and scored a brilliant 100 which single handily won us the flag on day 4. Played with so much freedom and flair and being only 18 at the time it was an innings I’ll never forget.
What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
Just being around the team and the club environment. I love the game but having mates and memories that will last forever is the most important part.
What has been your most memorable moment in cricket?
Definitely winning the premiership in 2016/2017 we were bundled out for 98 in the first innings to go on and chase 330 on the last day to win was incredible.
What’s the best win you’ve been involved with?
Other then the premiership victory over University for 3rd Grade Flag, it was a T20 at the end of 2019 against Uni as well in Second Grade.
We made a decent total around 170 but Uni were flying at about 1/90 off 8 overs we somehow fought our way back into it to win by 1 run. 3 wickets in the final over.
What are the three things you’re looking forward to doing outside cricket?
Definitely travelling - had plans to go over to England during the off season so hopefully get the chance to do that soon.
Being a carpenter, owning my own house and being able to work on it would be fun.
