Due to be held at the Paddington Hotel, the Valley Awards Ceremony went online, with the awards named throughout Monday 13th April. Valley had a relatively successful season as a club picking up the T20 championship led by captain Andrew Gode and Mitch Stubbings starred in the 4th Grade one day win against Norths.

A big thank you again to all our sponsors this year which included: Keith Dudgeon Sports Goods, Midas Auto Experts, Building Certification Group, Brisbane Isuzu, The Ashgrove Spinal Centre, Meat at Billys, Tooth Dental, Inline Building Inspections, Rufus King Seafoods, Fitness 4 U, Extreme Marquees and Physio Works.

In the Mel Lowings Cup, Scottish import, Lewis Robinson, picked up 11 wickets, while Emerald boy Byron Gale amassed 269 runs. Owen Gilchrist led the Legends run scoring with 148, while Andrew Gode took out the 1st Grade T20 run scoring with 352 runs. In Lord's Taverners, Hugh Weibgen totalled 342 runs for the season, while Ryan Harten picked up 16 wickets @ 16.81. Dan Skoien starred for C3 Sub-Districts with 27 wickets @ 9.00 and David Kahn, in his 7 innings picked up 257 runs @ 42.83 in B3 Sub-Districts. Daisey Bateman had a fine year with 150 runs @ 50 in the Paul Pink Shield.

In Grade Cricket, 6th Grade (1) had Jimmy Hicks score 562 runs for the year with veteran Kyle Coleman picking up 29 wickets @ 10.83. In 6th Grade (2) Michael Cook was on song with 28 wickets @ 14.82. The Horgan brothers were dominant in 5th Grade with Pat taking out the Batting Average Award with 319 runs at 29 and pace bowler Anthony accruing 20 wickets.

Allrounder, Mitch Stubbings took out the batting and bowling averages while Daniel Larke's year was capped off with 29 wickets. Tom Cramb had an exceptional year dominating 3rd Grade with 41 wickets @ 9.34.

2nd Grade Ladies saw Jasmine Jones impress with 9 wickets @ 22.11, while Genevieve Bond score 175 runs for the year. In 1st Grade Ladies, Leteysha Randall hit 398 runs and Christina Coulson had 18 wickets to her name.

Captain of 2nd Grade, Oliver West had a successful season with the bat putting together 405 runs with an impressive average of 50.63. Harry Collier was handy with the ball picking up 20 wickets. In 1st Grade, former Bulls player Nick Stevens scored 413 runs @ 37.55 while Andrew Gode took out the bowling awards with 19 @ 26.11.

The W Leggat Memorial Trophy for Most Catches by a Fieldsman was a tie between Hugh Weibgen and Alex Balston with 12 catches apiece. Jim Johnston was awarded the Doug Murphy Memorial Trophy for the Most Wickets by a Wicket-keeper with 26. Nick Stevens was rewarded with the Ray Heaps Trophy after picking up 145, the highest score across all premiership grades. Four hat-tricks were taken throughout the grades - three in C3 Sub-Districts - Dillon Robinson, Liam Cook and Macca Hughes while in the Jodie Fields Shield, Jasmine Jones. Tom Cramb picked up the Norm McMahon Memorial Trophy for his 43 wickets across 1st and 3rd Grade and Jimmy Hicks collected the Ken Mossop Trophy for his 562 runs in 6th Grade.

Rounding out the awards ceremony was the announcement of the Keith Dudgeon Sports Goods Trophy which was won by Andrew Gode in Mens 1st Grade and Charli Knott in Ladies 1st Grade.

Valley District Cricket Club
Valley District Cricket Club is a cricket club playing in the Bulls Masters premiership, the leading club cricket competition in Queensland, Australia. The club was established on 16 August 1897 and is one of only four remaining foundation clubs (along with South Brisbane, Redlands and Toombul). They have historically been located in the inner Brisbane suburb of Fortitude Valley and now play home matches at the Ashgrove Sportsground Park. Australian Test cricketers to play for the Valley club include Matthew Hayden, Allan Border, Don Tallon, Kepler Wessels, Usman Khawaja, Stuart Law and England wicket-keeper Geraint Jones OBE (in third grade). Notable Queenslanders to play for Valley include Leo OConnor (cricketer), Roy Levy, Otto Nothling, Malcolm Francke, Joe Dawes, Geoff Foley, Lee Carseldine and Luke Feldman. Current contracted Queensland Bulls players are Usman Khawaja, Lachlan Pfeffer, Mark Steketee and Jack Wildermuth, along with Queensland Fire players Mikayla Hinkley, Georgia Prestwidge and Charli Knott Valley is the largest club in Australia in player numbers and is believed to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest cricket club in the world; it currently (2019/20 season) has over 1,300 junior players, 200 senior players, including 180 female players.
