Western Suburbs District Cricket Club is pleased to announce Hanno Jacobs will be playing for the club in NSW Premier Cricket in season 2022/23.

Hanno Jacobs is a fast bowling all-rounder who has represented NSW Country/ ACT 2ndXI and has been playing for Australian National University Cricket Club in ACT Premier Cricket.

In five T20 games for Western Suburbs in 2021/22 showed his immense talent taking 9 wickets at an average of 13.7 and an economy rate of 6.2.

Against Northern District Hanno hit 18 runs off just 3 balls in the last over to help Westerns Suburbs reach 6 for 149 of their 20 overs. ND’s fell 5 runs shy in the chase to be 7 for 144.

Western Suburbs welcomes such a talented young player who has impressed all on and off the field.

Mike Swan – President Western Suburbs District Cricket Club

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Hanno Jacobs will be playing full time with us next year.

Hanno played T20 in first grade and Poidiven Gray last year and fitted into the club seamlessly.

Hanno is well liked be the squad and all at the club. Hanno has already played 2ndXI representative cricket and I strongly believe he has the ability for higher honours.

We are looking forward to see him permanently in the black and white.

Chadd Porter – Head Coach Western Suburbs District Cricket Club

Hanno came very highly recommend from Kyle Piper from NSW/ACT Cricket and played in our T20 Squad last year as well as PG’s.

He fitted in terrifically and is a pure athlete across all facets of cricket. Most importantly he is a really good person.

It is very exciting to have him on board full time and I cannot wait to work closely with him to see what he can do on a regular basis. This will be fun.

Hanno Jacobs

I really enjoyed my T20 season last year and I’m really excited about what the future holds at Western Suburbs.
