Bathurst Panthers have won the right to host the 2019 Group 10 grand final at Bathurst's Carrington Park on Sunday 15th September with a hard fought 36-16 win over minor premiers Orange Hawks in Orange on Saturday. The Panthers were just too good for the Hawks on the day, their dominance over the course of the season continued and showed why the Men in Black deserved a home grand final.

The last time Panthers hosted a grand final in Bathurst was 2007 so it’s been a long time between drinks.

In 2006 Panthers won the grand final in Lithgow and backed it up again in 2007.

Now the young Panthers, many who were only in the juniors in 06/07 have the opportunity to go back to back and emulate the 06/07 season and create their own piece of history.

Also on Saturday the Bathurst Panthers Under 18s were the underdogs but they stunned the minor premiers in cross town rivals Bathurst St Pats to make their way into the grand final. Many had written the boys off early in the season but they were determined to prove everyone wrong, well done guys.

Both First Grade and Under 18s have a well-deserved week off to prepare for the grand final

Reserve Grade travelled to Mudgee to take on the Mudgee Dragons in the qualifying major final in a do or die situation. With their club mates already in the grand final the reserve grade boys were determined not to end their season in Mudgee. With the score locked at 20 all with just minutes to go extra time beckoned but the Panthers dug deep and crossed for the winning try.

Reggies will travel to Orange next Sunday to take on Cross town rivals Bathurst St Pats to see who will play Lithgow Workies on Grand Final Day.
