Probably scoring a match saving 30 odd as night watchmen in a grand final in under 12’s
Tell us briefly about your cricketing journey?
I went from playing Milo into cricket, straight into club cricket for Centrals and was lucky enough to go to Ipswich Grammar School so I played just school cricket throughout my schooling years, then straight into Hornets after graduating Year 12 and have been playing there since.
What is your pre match routine?
Pretty cruisy pre match routine, I try and get everything ready like whites and strapping tape the night before, I hate being rushed 5 minutes before play (even though it seems to be the case every game haha)
How do you amuse yourself on a plane flight?
I’d probably say the Hamish and Andy podcast - never disappoints

If I could go back in time: Red Hot Chilli Peppers In their prime

Nathan Rimmington hit me in the shoulder at Sandgate with a duke ball once and I didn’t even see it, felt it though

Best spinner would have to be Mitchell Swepson I’d say
Who was the best batsman you played against?
In my opinion the best batter I’ve played/bowled to would probably have to be Chris Hartley - I think his technique was unbelievable

What’s the best innings you’ve seen played in any game you’ve played throughout your playing days?
A guy called Michael Herdman hit 130 off off what felt like 30 balls at Redlands in a one day game a few years back, every single ball went for 6. I’ve never seen cleaner striking than that, game was over in two seconds
What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
Team comradery, the feeling after getting a win after a long day in the sun is a good feeling - the vibe in the change room at those times is awesome.
What has been your most memorable moment in cricket?
My first first grade wicket was Ryan Harris which was pretty special
What’s the best win you’ve been involved with?
Any game where we have played a very strong grade side stacked with state players - has happened a few time for the hornets, those ones are pretty special

Surfing, fishing, camping
