It was Round 6 of the NSW Premier Cricket Competition on Saturday.

Bankstown hosted Manly Warringah and won the toss and batted. After a disastrous start losing early wickets to be 3 for 14 Ben Taylor’s 54 off 93 balls helped Bankstown reach 9 for 175 off their 50 overs.

Michael Visser 3 for 38 and Steve O’Keefe 3 for 27 were the best of the bowlers for Manly.

Logan Weston opening for Manly top-scored with 61 as Manly secured victory with the loss of 6 wickets after 48.2 overs – 6 for 178. 6 points to Manly.

At Joe McAleer Oval Mosman sent Blacktown Mounties into bat and Blacktown tool full advantage of the opportunity scoring 8 for 300 off their 50 overs. Jona Sammut scored a run a ball 136 and remained unbeaten in a tremendous batting display.

In reply, Mosman was 6 for 98 off 19.2. Harmon Sandhu 3 for 25 and Tom Atlee 3 for 25 were the wicket-takers for Blacktown. Blacktown 7 points

Eastern Suburbs played University of NSW at Waverley Oval and bowled UNSW out for 158 in 47 overs. George Furrer collected 4 for 27.

Easts won after scoring 4 for 159 off only 27.2 overs. Peter Lazurus 49 and Adam Ezekiel 48 off 38 balls helped the Dolphins pick up the bonus point. 7 points to Eastern Suburbs.

Hawkesbury v Gordon at Owen Earle. Nivethan Radhakrishnan played a lone hand scoring 87 as Hawkesbury were bowled out for 140 in 47.3 overs. Charlie Stobo picked up 3 for 31 of his 10 overs.

Gordon went on the hunt for a bonus point and was successful chasing down the total in 25 overs. 2 for 143 with Axel Cahlin continuing his good form with 67 off 63 and he was well supported by Lachlan Barnsley 47 in an opening partnership of 123.

Northern Districts went big against Campbelltown-Camden at Mark Taylor Oval.

Captain Ben Davis 121 off 134 balls and Scott Rodgie 151 off 131 balls combined for a 265 run partnership as Northern District finished 2 for 312. Great batting by Ben and Scott.

After being 5 for 76 Nathan Glynn strode to the crease and put together a fine 113 off 110 balls. Nathan and Jackson Isakka put on 136 for the 6th wicket but it wasn’t enough as Campbelltown finished their 50 overs 8 for 273.

Jacob Heinrich was the pick of the bowlers for Northern District with 4 for 61. Northern District 6 points.

At Coogee Oval, it was one of the games of the season when Randwick Petersham hosted Sydney.

Batting first Randwick Petersham scored at a great clip to reach 7 for 323 off their 50 overs. Will Affleck 65, Daniel Bell-Drummond 52, Captain Jason Sangha 65 off 44 and Anthony Sams 45 off 28 all put Randwick Petersham in a very strong position at half time.

In the 2nd half Nicholas Gibbons 94 off 83 balls, Ryan Felsch 68 off 38 and Beau McClintock 50 off 53 put Sydney in a winning position until they lost 5 for 18 at the back end of the innings. Batting at number 7 Suffan Hussan hit 17 off 11 balls and Sydney won an incredible game of cricket with only one ball spare to finish 9 for 324 of 49.5 overs. 6 points to Sydney.

Sydney University played Parramatta and thanks to a tremendous captains knock from Liam Robertson 133 off 102 Sydney Uni scored 8 for 284 off their 50 overs.

In reply and another tremendous captains knock Nick Bertus 109 off 114 balls Parramatta were bowled out for 248 in 46.5 overs with Will Masojada picking up 3 for 55 off 10 overs.

At North Sydney Oval UTS North Sydney hosted Western Suburbs and invited them to bat first. After 50 overs Wests were 9 for 236 with James Psarakis 61 and Josh Clarke 54 the top scorers.

North Sydney was 5 for 143 when Captain Justin Avendano was joined by George Lavelle and together they put on an unbeaten 94 runs to steer North Sydney home to pick up the 6 points. Avendano remained unbeaten on 126 and Lavelle 42.

Penrith travelled to Hurstville Oval to take on St George.

Batting first Penrith was bowled out for 256 in 49.5 overs with Ryan Hackney scoring a well compiled 101.

Bowling honours for the Dragons were shared by Peter Francis 3 for 47, Nick Stapleton 3 for 37 and Tom Engelbracht 3 for 47.

With the bat, St George was all out for 235 with Nick Stapleton capping off a fine all-round performance top-scoring with 72.

For Penrith in another great captain’s knock, Ryan Smith took 5 for 39 off his 10 overs. Penrith 6 points.

Sutherland played Fairfield Liverpool at Glenn McGrath and it was another nail-biting finish.

Sutherland batting first reached 8 for 276 with Jack leaning 92 and Jarryd Biviano 86 off 78 balls leading the way.

With only one ball to spare Fairfield Liverpool scored the winning runs to be 7 for 277 and Luke Ohrynowsky batting through the innings to be unbeaten on 136 off 130 balls. Well batted Luke. 6 points for Fairfield Liverpool.
