Rugby league was a gladiator sport, colourful and entertaining, filled to the brim with characters. Following the sport since I was a youngster, it has become a lifestyle and my mind is filled with so many memories of being a kid watching my heroes run around the paddocks. I am lucky to have not only met, but discussed in intimate detail, the life and times of so many of these heroes of yesterday.
Publishing this series of books is an honour and benefits so many. Players have their story live on and they can tell their story in their own way. It also benefits you, the reader, as you get a unique perspective and insight into the life and times of the heroes of yesterday.
I have built rapport and trust with the players I have met and continue to do them the service and justice they deserve.
