In 1975 the Inverell High School cricket team made it through the quarter finals in the NSW Schoolboys Davidson Shield competition. In 1976 they made it all the way through the final and were runners up to Forbes High School in the final played at the SCG. A wonderful achievement by two country schools in a NSW state wide competition
