Lindfield Under 13 Boys set about an imposing 278 off 40 overs on day 2 of their game against Gordon.
A solid start with Zolly Conlon and Zac Winslow seeing off the opening bowlers before Zolly was retired after 9 overs scoring 18 runs.
Lindfield then lost a a couple of quick wickets before Nicholas Audet joined Jonty Snyman after Zac Winslow was dismissed for a well-made 36.
Jonny was then compulsory retired on 50 before Nicholas and Zac Zashid combined for a better than a run a ball partnership before Audet was caught on the boundary for 47.
Needing 9 an over for the last 6 overs Lindfield finished just short all out in the 40 over for 254 and only 24 runs behind Gordon.
It was a top effort by the boys and the top scorers were Jonty Snyman 58, Nicholas Audet 47, Zac Winslow 36, Zolly Conlon 18 and Zac Rashid 19.
