My Best Grade team - Lloyd Aspin 2011 to 2020

I commenced my career in 2011 and have played for both Norths and Sandgate-Redcliffe. I have played with an impressive array of cricketers as you will see from the team I have chosen below:

1.  Bryce Street - Sandgate Redcliffe

Bryce is one of the most talented cricketers I have played alongside. Either with bat or ball you know he will do the job for you. His hard work and determination has got him to where he is today playing first class cricket for Queensland.

2.  Joe Burns – Norths

Joe would be an obvious one really, opening the batting for his country at Test level. I got to see him score plenty of runs in first grade at Norths.

3.  Charlie Hemphrey – Sandgate Redcliffe 

Charlie has played a few seasons with us now at Sandgate and you can definitely see he’s a class above when he’s in full flow out in the middle. He can also throw down a few more than handy off spinners.

4.  Dom Michael - Norths

Dom was one of the hardest trainers I have played with, either in the nets or out running and fielding. He was one of the guys to look up to whilst playing at Norths. I also got to witness a 1,300 run season by him which was by far the best batting I have seen at Grade level.

5.  Corey Barsby – Sandgate Redcliffe (Captain)

Corey’s a very talented batsman and has scored many valuable runs at the top or in the middle order for Sandgate. What sets him apart from the rest is the way he will get the best out of his players and backs them 100%. 

6.  Zac Keune – Sandgate Redcliffe 

Zac on his day could take any bowling attack apart, he’s one of the most entertaining batsmen I have played with and I have enjoyed many a great partnership with him for Sandgate.

7.  Ben Dunk – Norths (Wicket Keeper) 

Ben has played T20 cricket all over the world and also represented Australia in T20 cricket. He also was a very disruptive batsman and a very handy wicket keeper. 

8.  Nathan Rimmington – Sandgate Redcliffe 

Nathan would have to be one of the most skillful bowlers I have played with. The way he would out think a batsman was incredible to watch. I got to witness an 80 wicket season from him and he was a huge part of our success.

9.  Mitchell Swepson - Sandgate Redcliffe

I have been lucky enough to play a fair few games with Mitch and he always seems to amaze everyone with his skill level. He’s a very handy bowler to have in your side. 

10. Dane Hutchinson - Norths

Dane was a bowler I looked up to as a young fella playing first grade for Norths. He has the ability to swing the ball both ways and on his day could rip any order apart. 

11. Wade Johnson – Sandgate Redcliffe 

Wadey has to be one of the nicest blokes I have ever played with but also has a fiery spell up his sleeve. He was a great opening partner to have bowling up the other end.
