Logan Village Cricket Club
Jul 18 2021

On Saturday 17 July we saw the AGM take place for the club and a number of changes have occurred. We now have a new executive committee with the inclusion of a new President of the club. The new executive committee are as follows.

  • President - Jarrod Bird
  • Treasurer - Rick Galloway
  • Secretary - Will Davis

We would like to thank the outgoing committee for their time and effort and we commit to building the club into a strong presence within the Logan District Cricket Association (LDCA).

We will be calling on all members to participate in weekly raffles at a local establishment in order for us to gain funds to make continuous improvements to our club.

Please make sure you take the time to thank Rick Galloway and Micko for the tireless job that do as volunteers maintaining our facilities to a point they have been recognised by the Sports Turf Association of Queensland.

It is also a time to thank Ricks wife Lisa who has been tireless in the support of the club, filling out grants and doing the club’s paperwork which has kept the club moving forward over the years.

Tomorrow will be a new start for the club and a reason for everyone to be involved in the growth of the club. Working closely with Queensland Cricket we aim to form a junior base for our club to ensure the longevity and success in the future. The new upgrade to our nets will allow us to have a safe and first class synthetic training facility thanks to our friends at Gabba Sports Netting and Surfaces - gabba.com.au. Mitch and the boys have come to the party to provide us a facility similar to the one in the image at a much discounted rate. Please support them if you are ever asked about what they do

There is plenty of work to be done and I have no doubt we can all achieve great things together.

We need more people like Rick, Lisa and Micko to make it all happen. C’arn the Village!
