Anthony Mosca, the leading run scorer in NSW Premier Cricket last year, is joining his fellow Sydney CC team mate Ben Manenti at the Bucks for the next two seasons.

Mosca, scored 1104 runs @ 69.00 including 3 centuries and 4 half-centuries, batting in the pivotal number 3 position. They included a century in the semi-final and 94 in the final in which Sydney won their second title in 3 seasons.

Director of Cricket Peter Di Venuto was delighted to receive confirmation of Mosca joining the Bucks for the upcoming season.

"AJ has been a very good player for a number of years in NSW. He comes as an experienced cricketer looking to challenge himself in a new environment. He wants to perform well to play at the highest level he can."

Mosca is a very versatile player. In the One Day final of 2018/19 he scored 134 off 110 balls winning the Michael Bevan Medal in a Man of the Match performance.

In the most recent 2 day final series, he scored a 337 ball 124 in the semi final to bat the opposition out of the game, backing that up with a 263 ball 94 in the final. "That really demonstrates an understanding of his own game and an ability to put the team first in pursuit of victory. He's a winner."

His Club Chairman, former NSW player Neil Maxwell, is of the firm belief he has the talent to play higher. Despite losing two of his team's best players, Maxwell is very supportive of both Mosca and Manenti moving to pursue a dream of playing 1st class cricket. "We are very supportive of both players seeking to further their careers, and in both lads you have exceptional cricketers and quality people. We wish them every success."

Di Venuto added, "At the end of last season, we looked at how we could accelerate the development of the good young players we have. If we had a wish, it would be to have some quality experienced cricketers to join us to support our existing playing group. With AJ joining us along with Ben Manenti, we have two exceptional players and quality people who will help balance our team and help develop our young talent on field."

Mosca & Manenti will be arriving at the end of June and as a whole Club we look forward to supporting the boys in their pursuit of higher honours.

Welcome AJ!
