In January 2019 Henry Railz made his first grade debut for Penrith just months after leaving his home town of Dubbo and finishing school.
Henry quickly established himself at Penrith and was soon presented with the clubs first grade cap number 218 and he went on to take 18 wickets at 23.11 and played an important role in Penrith winning the first grade premiership for the first time in 36 years.
In his 2nd year in NSW Premier Cricket Henry took 24 wickets at 23.17 and took his first 5 wicket haul, 5 for 31.

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?
Being part of the Penrith first grade premiership winning team in 2018/19 and the representing ACT/NSW Country NSW at the Australian Under 19 National Championship in 2018/19

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?
My dad, he has put so much time into helping me with training and travelling around Country NSW. Without his support I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?
I’ve got a lot of pride being from Dubbo in regional NSW. I’m not only representing my family and friends but the town. I’ve come a long way in my short career and that drives me to keep going and see what my limits are.

Can we ask, what would it mean to you to be selected to play for NSW?
It’s a dream of mine. Only a couple years ago it felt like I was never going to get close to achieving it but with every year I can feel myself progressing.
I’m just grateful for every opportunity made available and if a NSW selection appears in the coming years it would mean the world to me.
