At the age of 14 Connor Cook started playing for Port Macquarie Pirates in the newly formed Mid North Coast Premier League in 2017. Clubs in the region are from Port Macquarie, Kempsey and Taree.
In 2019/20 Connor was selected as the Captain of a very young team who finished the season strongly, making the semi-finals. Unfortunately the Covid 19 virus ended the season abruptly.
With Bushfires, smoke, drought (no water to prepare some council fields), wet weather and finally the corona virus is was a very strange and disappointing season for all
Connor has ambitions to play in Sydney's NSW Premier Cricket and he will be pushing himself to play in the highest grade possible. He is an accurate attacking off spinner, superb fielder in slips or in the outfield with a rocket arm and is a damaging lower order batsmen who seems to be made for limited overs cricket.
